Additive colour properties and colour gamut of cholesteric liquid crystals

Nature, 1978
LIQUID crystals are organic compounds in a state of matter intermediate between the isotropic liquid and crystaline solid. They are fluid but at the same time they exhibit molecular order. Depending on the ordering one distinguishes the smectic, the nematic and the cholesteric liquid crystals1 (CLC).

Property specification for coloured petri nets

2004 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37583), 2005
The coloured Petri nets is a powerful modelling framework, which allows designers to attach values of complex types (colors) to moving objects (tokens). Using analysis techniques of the classical Petri nets for the coloured Petri nets demands abstracting from colors that can be a source of errors.

On the Structural Properties of the Colours

Australasian Journal of Philosophy, 2003
Primary quality theories of colour claim that colours are intrinsic, objective, mind-independent properties of external objects. However, a recent, empirically motivated argument seems to have convinced many that primary quality theories cannot be sustained. This argument, in outline, alleges that colours bear structural relations to each other that no

Cadmium colours: composition and properties

Applied Physics A, 2004
The composition and the properties of cadmium aquarelle colours are discussed. The examined colours were 24 different aquarelle cadmium colours from six different manufacturers. The colours ranged from light, bright yellows to dark, deep-red tones.

Specification of colour rendering properties of light sources for colour television

Lighting Research & Technology, 1976
There is a need for ranking the colour rendering properties of light sources. These properties can be specified using the test colour method. Considering only ideal systems the ranking of 20 spectrally widely diverse light sources was determined. The ideal systems are not however representative of good practice.
