ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Effect of micronisation on colour and optical properties of ceramic colourants for inkjet printing
The advent of inkjet printing (IJP) as the main used decoration technique for ceramic products has changed the technological requirements for pigments and the way they are obtained. To meet IJP and durability requirements, it is necessary to micronise the colourants to achieve particles smaller than 1 μm (median particle diameter d50 ~300 nm). The high-

The time-course of colour vision [PDF]
Four experiments are presented, each investigating temporal properties of colour vision processing in human observers. The first experiment replicates and extends an experiment by Stromeyer et al. (1991).

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Quantification of impacts of colour on affective quality of images [PDF]
Most consumer images serve emotional functions as well as informational ones. The impression of an image can be affected not only by physical properties e. g.

Language impairment and colour categories [PDF]
Goldstein (1948) reported multiple cases of failure to categorise colours in patients that he termed amnesic or anomic aphasics. these patients have a particular difficulty in producing perceptual categories in the absence of other aphasic impairments ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The Colour Excess Scalf and Intrinsic Colour Properties of the Longer Period Cepheids [PDF]
Following a discussion of two recent papers by Schmidt (1973, 1975), we conclude that for the large amplitude, longer period Cepheids (log P greater than about 1.1), the small colour excesses derived from the six-colour photometry (traditional method or Parsons method) are to be preferred to the large colour excesses derived from the γ-index photometry

Do honeybees detect colour targets using serial or parallel visual search?
In humans, visual search tasks are commonly used to address the question of how visual attention is allocated in a specific task and how individuals search for a specific object ("target") among other objects ("distractors") that vary in number and ...
