Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Vector partitions and combinatorial identities [PDF]
In this note we show how certain relations between vector partition functions can be deduced from certain identities. A relation connecting vector partitions having odd components and those having distinct parts will be proved. A combinatorial proof of Jacobi's Identity similar to Franklin's proof of Euler identity is suggested.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Combinatorial identities for vacillating tableaux
Vacillating tableaux are sequences of integer partitions that satisfy specific conditions. The concept of vacillating tableaux stems from the representation theory of the partition algebra and the combinatorial theory of crossings and nestings of matchings and set partitions. In this paper, we further investigate the enumeration of vacillating tableaux

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Meta-analysis of the Studies about the Association between Ethnic Identity and National Identity in Iran Focusing on the Role of Media [PDF]
Ethnic diversity in Iran on one hand, and attempts to create a coherent national identity since the first Pahlavi era on the other, raise the question of how ethnic and national identities are associated in Iran.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Contextual and combinatorial structure in sperm whale vocalisations
Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) are highly social mammals that communicate using sequences of clicks called codas. While a subset of codas have been shown to encode information about caller identity, almost everything else about the sperm whale ...

图的Aα-特征多项式系数的一个注记(A note on the coefficients of the Aα-characteristic polynomial of a graph)
Let G be a graph on n vertices, and let A( G ) and D ( G ) denote the adjacency matrix and the degree matrix of G, respectively. Define Aα ( G )= αD ( G )+( 1 - α ) A( G ) for any real α ∈ [ 0,1 ].
