SDP Relaxations for Some Combinatorial Optimization Problems [PDF]
In this chapter we present recent developments on solving various combinatorial optimization problems by using semidefinite programming (SDP). We present several SDP relaxations of the quadratic assignment problem and the traveling salesman problem. Further, we show the equivalence of several known SDP relaxations of the graph equipartition problem ...

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

Problem Definition and Optimization Method for Bipartite Graph Scheduling
Bipartite graphs can describe various systems in real world. In this study, we define a new problem class for optimizing the cost or profit associated with state changes in systems represented by bipartite graphs and propose a heuristic approach based on

A novel approach for the design of functional semiconductors is presented, which utilizes the excellent optoelectronic properties of layered hybrid perovskites and the possibility to introduce a molecular photoswitch as the organic spacer. This concept is successfully demonstrated on a coumarin‐based system with the possibility to change the bandgap ...
