Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Low-frequency oscillations of combustion products in the chamber of a low-thrust liquid rocket engine manufactured using additive technologies

open access: yesАвіаційно-космічна техніка та технологія
Oscillations in engine thrust are due to nonstationary dynamic processes in the combustion chamber. The presence of vortexes in the combustion product flow in the combustion chamber can lead to liquid rocket engine (LRE) dynamic instability with a ...

Ionic Precursors Transformed Into Vinyl Acetate Synthesis Catalyst via Reaction‐Driven Restructuring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that a simple physical mixture of Pd and Au ionic precursors, KOAc promoter, and SiO2 support can transform into a highly active vinyl acetate synthesis catalyst through reaction‐driven restructuring. The results highlight reaction‐induced restructuring as an innovative and sustainable catalyst design strategy.

Influence of Quenching Height and Air Distribution Ratio on Combustion Characteristics of RQL Combustor

open access: yesShanghai Jiaotong Daxue xuebao
Based on the principle of the rich-burn/quench/lean-burn (RQL) technology, a low emission combustion chamber for gas turbine was designed. The effects of different heights of quenching structure and distribution ratios of the air flow on the flow field ...
