Long‐Term Outcomes of Radiofrequency Ablation for Benign Thyroid Nodules of Different Sizes: Implications of Regrowth and New Growth

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Radiofrequency ablation is an effective treatment for benign thyroid nodules. Since initial nodule volume may impact the efficacy of radiofrequency ablation, this study evaluated its long‐term outcomes across varying nodule sizes, focusing on regrowth, new growth, and clinical management implications.

Building From the Ground Up: A Procedural Guide to Locally Controlling Bond Exchange Kinetics in Dynamic Thiol‐Thioester Networks

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Local deactivation of thiol‐thioester exchange reactions through photolysis of a covalently attachable photoacid in a photocurable thiol‐ene covalent adaptable network was demonstrated. The polymeric network was cured with visible light, and the local deactivation of the network's exchange dynamics was achieved by subsequent exposure to UV light ...

Protein glycosylation in lung cancer from a mass spectrometry perspective

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
Abstract Lung cancer is a severe disease for which better diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are urgently needed. Increasing evidence implies that aberrant protein glycosylation plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis and progression of lung cancer.

Unveiling Cell‐Type‐Specific Immune Reactions in Human Blood Following Varied Fruit and Vegetable Blends Interventions

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, EarlyView.
Paired peripheral‐blood RNA‐seq from MiBLEND was deconvolved with CIBERSORTx to profile leukocyte composition and cell‐type‐specific transcriptomic responses to seven fruit‐and‐vegetable blends. Deconvolution yielded 22 leukocyte subtypes that correlated with laboratory WBC reports (R = 0.886, p ≤ 0.01).
