Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer‐related death. We investigated the role of the epigenetic regulator DMAP1 in NSCLC and found that its loss induces replication stress and DNA damage. This in turn activates type I IFN signaling via the cGAS–STING pathway and transcriptional ISG de‐repression, enhancing anti‐tumor immune responses ...

Fault slip rates estimated from geodetic data are being integrated into seismic hazard models. The standard approach requires modeling velocities and relative (micro‐)plate motions, which is challenging for fault‐based models.

Observing eruptions of gas-rich compressible magmas from space
Satellite observations are an important tool in volcano monitoring, but observations such as ground deformation and gas emissions are treated independently. Here, the authors present a model coupling them through their link to magma volatile contents and

The extraordinary composition of the blue comet C/2016 R2 (PanSTARRS) [PDF]
We present a multi-wavelength study of comet C/2016 R2 (PanSTARRS). This comet was observed on 23 and 24 January 2018 with the IRAM 30 m telescope, and in January to March 2018 with the Nançay radio telescope.

This study identifies palmitoylation as a novel regulatory modification of SMAD4, mediated by ZDHHC22/APT2. It activates fatty acid synthesis, creating a self‐reinforcing SMAD4–FASN–palmitate feedback loop that drives pancreatic cancer growth and enhances radiotherapy sensitivity.

An investigation of changes to commercial aircraft flight paths during volcanic eruptions
Volcanic eruptions can inject ash into the atmosphere, which is then advected by meteorological winds, potentially affecting large volumes of airspace. Volcanic Ash Advisory Centres (VAACs) issue volcanic ash advisories (VAAs) when airspace is likely to ...

Thermalisme et villégiature autour d’Auch
Around Auch, in the mid-19th century, several hot springs were exploited. Small thermal establishments were set up there, but not all of them gave rise to real spas as in Castéra-Verduzan.

The nucleus of 103P/Hartley 2, target of the EPOXI mission
103P/Hartley 2 was selected as the target comet for the Deep Impact extended mission, EPOXI, in October 2007. There have been no direct optical observations of the nucleus of this comet, as it has always been highly active when previously observed.

Krypton isotopes and noble gas abundances in the coma of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko [PDF]
Noble gases in comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko indicate nonhomogenized protoplanetary disk material at its location of formation. The Rosetta Orbiter Spectrometer for Ion and Neutral Analysis mass spectrometer Double Focusing Mass Spectrometer on board ...

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors frequently silence MEN1 through epigenetic mechanisms. Here, SIRT7 recruits DNMT1 to the MEN1 promoter, drives hypermethylation, and enhances DNA repair. Inhibiting SIRT7 restores MEN1, reduces MRN complex abundance, impairs double‐strand break repair, and sensitizes PanNET models to radiation, supporting SIRT7 as a ...
