Increasing the photon collection rate from a single NV center with a silver mirror
In the pursuit of realizing quantum optical networks, a large variety of different approaches have been studied to achieve a single photon source on-demand. The common goal for these approaches is to harvest all the emission from a quantum emitter into a

Reduction of Common Mode Noise and Global Multivalued Offset in Touch Screen Systems by Correlated Double Sampling [PDF]
Touch-based interactivity has become an important function in displays. This paper reports on the signal processing of touch signals in which touch interactivity is processed as an image, and correlated double sampling (CDS) algorithm is applied for both

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Multiplexed OAM Wave Communication With Two-OAM-Mode Antenna Systems
In order to improve the channel capacity, waves carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) in communication systems have attracted much attention. A two-OAM-mode antenna system, which works at 2.4 GHz, is proposed in this paper.

Trade-off and Design optimization of the Notch filter for ultralow power ECG application [PDF]
ECG acquisition, several leads combined with signals from different body parts (i.e., from the right wrist and the left ankle) are utilized to trace the electric activity of the heart.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Joint Wireless Information and Energy Transfer in a K-User MIMO Interference Channel [PDF]
Recently, joint wireless information and energy transfer (JWIET) methods have been proposed to relieve the battery limitation of wireless devices. However, the JWIET in a general K-user MIMO interference channel (IFC) has been unexplored so far.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
