Micropropagation of common ash (Fraxinus excelsior)

Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture (PCTOC), 1992
Embryos extracted from dried seeds of common ash (Fraxinus excelsior), were germinated on growth regulator-free culture medium. Cotyledonary nodes from these seedlings were placed onto Murashige and Skoog, Woody Plant or Driver and Kuniyuki culture media with 22.2 or 44.4 μM benzyladenine, on which they developed into shoot cultures following the ...

Plant regeneration of common ash (Fraxinus excelsior L.) by somatic embryogenesis

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Plant, 2007
This is the first report on somatic embryogenesis in common ash (Fraxinus excelsior L.). Experiments on somatic embryogenesis induction were carried out on zygotic embryos at different phases of development and maturation. The embryo axes were isolated and cultured on media containing different plant growth regulators (PGRs).

A generalized heterozygote deficiency assessed with microsatellites in French common ash populations

Molecular Ecology, 2002
AbstractCommon ash is a temperate forest tree with a colonizing behaviour, a discontinuous spatial distribution and a peculiar and poorly known mating system. Microsatellite markers were used to study the genetic structure in natural populations of common ash. Twelve populations located in northeastern France were analysed at five loci.
