Thirty‐eight patients had duct exploration at cholecystectomy, an exploration rate of 24%.

Adenomyoma of the Common Bile Duct

Adenomyomas are rare pseudotumors of the extrahepatic biliary tract. Their microscopic appearance does not differ significantly from similar malformations of the peritoneal cavity. We describe a patient who presented with obstructive jaundice and who was treated successfully with a surgical resection and a hepaticojejunal anastomosis.

Angioleiomyoma of the Common Bile Duct

ABSTRACT An 80‐year‐old woman with angioleiomyoma in the common bile duct is described. Apart from weakness and jaundice, the patient had no signs or symptoms until after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, when cholangitis and septicaemia due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa developed.
