The Occurrence of Microplastic Ingestion in Commercial Marine Fish in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia
ABSTRACT Microplastics are polymer‐based particle compositions of various toxic chemicals with size less than 5 mm. Due to their small size, microplastics can be ingested and accumulate in body tissues of organisms. This raises concerns about their toxicity being transferred to humans via food consumption.

Biodiesel Production From Canola Oil by Titanium Dioxide‐Photocatalysed Transesterification
Photocatalytic transesterification of canola oil over TiO2 under UVA irradiation enables biodiesel production under mild conditions. Yields up to 73% FAME and 38% FAEE were achieved, with negative Gibbs free energy (ΔG < 0) confirming thermodynamic favourability.

Abstract Burbot (Lota lota) are a promising candidate for commercial aquaculture production. Methods for captive culture are well understood, the species is highly regarded for its muscle, roe, liver, and skin, and its resistance to many salmonid pathogens coupled with the species' affinity to trout‐like water quality conditions make burbot an ...

Breeding plan for common carp in Europe
In this study we present an outline for a selective breeding plan aiming at producing a population of common carp with a high growth rate, a high survival rate, and which is highly resistant to Koi herpes virus (KHV) and the bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila.
