Common Fixed Points of Commuting Monotone Mappings

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1967
We are concerned here with the existence of fixed or common fixed points of commuting monotone self-mappings of a partially ordered set into itself. Let X be a partially ordered set. A self-mapping ƒ of X into itself is called an isotone mapping if x ⩾ y implies ƒ(x) ⩾ ƒ(y).

Common fixed points for set-valued mappings

1983
Let F and G be mappings of a complete metric space (X,d) into the hyperspace of bounded subsets B(X) satisfying the inequality \[ \delta (Fx,Gy)\leq c.\max \{\delta (x,Gy),\delta (y,Fx),d(x,y)\} \] for all x,y in X, where \(0\leq ...
