The common good and economics [PDF]
Cuadernos de Economía, 2016 This paper analyzes the meaning of the 'common good' and its impact on economics. It adopts the 'classical notion of the common good' which, conceived by Aristotle and further developed by Thomas Aquinas, has been widely used for centuries. Sections 2 and 3 introduce Aristotle's view on this notion, followed by Aquinas' developments.

Proceedings of the 1st International Workshop on Distributed Infrastructure for Common Good, 2020 This paper analyses the use of blockchain technology to support the governance of commons-pool resources, as studied by Elinor Ostrom. It argues that the technological guarantees of blockchain technology—in terms of ex-ante automation and ex-post verification—can replace the traditional requirements of monitoring and sanctioning.
