High-speed balanced photodetector module with 20 dB broadband common-mode rejection ratio

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2004
A highly symmetric monolithically integrated balanced photodetector module is presented. Revealing a bandwidth of 34 GHz and a broadband common-mode rejection ratio of more than 20 dB, the module is suitable for 40 Gbit/s systems.

Plasmonic-based GaAs balanced metal-semiconductor-metal photodetector with high common mode rejection ratio

High Capacity Optical Networks and Emerging/Enabling Technologies, 2012
We propose and demonstrate a plasmonic-based GaAs balanced metal-semiconductor-metal photodetector (B-MSM-PD) structure. A dual-beam FIB/SEM is employed for the fabrication of the metal nano-gratings and slits of the B-MSM-PD. A common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) value less than 25 dB at 830nm wavelength, dependent on the applied bias, is measured ...

Improvement of common-mode rejection ratio in symmetrical differential stages with dynamic load

East-West Design & Test Symposium (EWDTS 2013), 2013
The dynamic load structure for symmetrical differential stages based on principle of self-compensation of active elements small-signal parameters influence on common-mode rejection ratio (CMR) is proposed. Shown that this load in traditional stage structure allows to decrease influence of active elements transfer conductance on CMR.

Common-mode rejection ratio analysis of fully differential class AB two-stage op-amp with and without common-mode feedback circuit

2007 7th International Conference on ASIC, 2007
A fully differential class AB two-stage op-amp with and without common-mode feedback circuit (CMFB) are proposed. There are 4 schematics to be proposed. The first schematic is CMOS complementary input with class AB output without CMFB circuit. The second schematic is CMOS complementary input with class AB output stage with CMFB circuit. For low voltage

Quantifying Direct DQPSK Receiver with Integrated Photodiode-Array by Assessing an Adapted Common-Mode Rejection Ratio

Optoelectronic Materials and Devices, 2011
In this work, a direct DQPSK receiver was fabricated, which comprises a polymer waveguide based delay-line interferometer (DLI); a polymer based optical hybrid, and two monolithic pairs of > 25 GHz bandwidth photodiodes that are vertically coupled to the polymer planar lightwave circuit (PLC) via integrated 45° mirrors. The common mode rejection ratio (

Influence of electrode impedance changes on the common-mode rejection ratio in bioimpedance measurements

Physiological Measurement, 1999
Bioelectrical impedance in vivo measurements suffer from many potential sources of error due to the patient-instrument interface. The total common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR(T)) was investigated experimentally for three measurement channel circuit versions, including electrode-skin impedance imbalance. The first version was of the 'classical' type. The

A wideband high common mode rejection ratio amplifier and phase-locked loop demodulator for multifrequency impedance measurement

Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, 1998
Design considerations and implementation of a multifrequency measuring channel for application in the field of bio-impedance measurement are discussed in this paper. The input amplifier has a differential configuration which is electrically isolated from the remaining circuits.

Analysis of common-mode rejection ratio of a CMOS differential amplifier considering all the non-idealities

2015 2nd International Conference on Electrical Information and Communication Technologies (EICT), 2015
This paper attempts an analytical approach to accurately determine common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) considering the effects of various non-idealities such as the presence of channel length modulation, body effect, finite resistance of the current source, mismatches in transconductances and drain resistances between the two driver MOSFETS of a common ...

Unifying the concepts of offset voltage and common-mode rejection ratio [bipolar differential amplifiers]

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1976
A unified treatment of offset voltage and common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of bipolar differential amplifiers using large signal models is presented. The offset voltage expressions for the differential pair and 741 stages are first calculated in terms of transport model parameters. CMRR may then be calculated from these expressions.

Electrical impedance tomography. Improved wideband, high CMRR (common mode rejection ratio) instrumentation amplifier.

Clinical physics and physiological measurement : an official journal of the Hospital Physicists' Association, Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Medizinische Physik and the European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics, 1992
A wideband high CMRR instrumentation amplifier is described. Based on a previously reported current-mode design, the improved amplifier features excellent CMRR performance of better than 60 dB up to 200 kHz with unity differential gain.
