It has spread throughout the territory during the XXth century with a critical evolution. Public policies have not been able to contain this spread at the moment, and it is now difficult to find ways to tackle the invasion.

2013L’ambroisie à feuilles d’armoise (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.) peut coloniser différents types d’habitats. De mi-mai à septembre 2012, la croissance et le développement de différentes plantes ont été suivis dans quatre type d’habitats. Les principales étapes de développement ont été observées et une biomasse aérienne finale a été mesurée.

American Journal of Botany, 1975Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) seeds were stored under natural environmental conditions by placing them at three soil levels (surface, 5 cm, and 15 cm) in the field on November 1, 1972. Germination tests at 4‐week intervals indicated that dormancy was broken by the end of January.
