The National Center for Atmospheric Research Community Climate Model: CCM3*
The latest version of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Community Climate Model (CCM3) is described. The changes in both physical and dynamical formulation from CCM2 to CCM3 are presented. The major differences in CCM3 compared to CCM2 include changes to the parameterization of cloud properties, clear sky longwave radiation, deep ...

Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Signatures of Edge States in Antiferromagnetic Van der Waals Josephson Junctions
ABSTRACT The combination of superconductivity and magnetic textures leads to unconventional superconducting phenomena, including new correlated and topological phases. Van der Waals (vdW) materials emerge as a versatile platform for exploring the interplay between these two competing orders.

Do Eclipse‐Induced Thermospheric TADs Originate From Above or Below?
Solar eclipses generate significant wave activity in the Earth's upper atmosphere. The source region of eclipse‐induced Traveling Atmospheric Disturbances (TADs) in the upper thermosphere—particularly the relative contributions of gravity waves from the ...

The Community Fire Behavior model for coupled fire–atmosphere modeling: implementation in the Unified Forecast System [PDF]
There is an increasing need for simulating the evolution of wildland fires. The realism of the simulation increases by accounting for feedbacks between the fire and the atmosphere.
