Some strange behaviors of the power series ring R[[X]]

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2018
Let R be a commutative ring with identity. Let R[X] and R[[X]] be the polynomial ring and the power series ring respectively over R. Being the completion of R[X] (under the X-adic topology), R[[X]] does not always share the same property with R[X].

Noncrossed Product Matrix Subrings and Ideals of Graded Rings

open access: yes, 2009
We show that if a groupoid graded ring has a certain nonzero ideal property and the principal component of the ring is commutative, then the intersection of a nonzero twosided ideal of the ring with the commutant of the principal component of the ring is

Analysis of the Effect of Entanglement Operators and the Scalability of Players’ Payoff Computation in N‐Player Quantum Games

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
A new set of entanglement operators for N‐player quantum games is introduced, and their effects on each player's behavior throughout the game are explored. The hardware efficiency of the entanglement operators is assessed against state‐of‐the‐art quantum games in terms of circuit depth and fidelity.

Commutative semigroup varieties with the amalgamation property [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society. Series A. Pure Mathematics and Statistics, 1981
AbstractWe determine which varieties of commutative semigroups have the weak or strong amalgamation property. These are precisely the varieties of inflations of semilattices of abelian groups.

Entanglement in Quantum Systems Based on Directed Graphs

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
The entanglement properties of quantum states associated with directed graphs are investigated. It is proved that the vertex degree distribution fully determines this entanglement measure, which remains invariant under vertex relabeling, thereby highlighting its topological character.

Concept Proof of Voltage Suppression across IGBT Application for Fuse‐Current‐Limiting Hybrid DCCBs

open access: yesIEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract DC power systems require reliable and cost‐effective DC circuit breakers (DCCBs). In a previous study, we introduced a hybrid DCCB featuring a current‐limiting fuse, insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT), and a varistor connected in parallel.

On properties described by terms in commutator relation

open access: yes, 2023
We investigate properties of varieties of algebras described by a novel concept of equation that we call \emph{commutator equation}. A commutator equation is a relaxation of the standard term equality obtained substituting the equality relation with the commutator relation. Namely, an algebra $\mathbf{A}$ satisfies the commutator equation $p \approx_{C}

Multiterminal High‐Voltage Direct Current Projects: A Comprehensive Assessment and Future Prospects

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multiterminal high‐voltage direct current (MT‐HVDC) systems are an important part of modern power systems, addressing the need for bulk power delivery and efficient renewable energy integration. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of recent advances in MT‐HVDC technology, including launched projects and ongoing initiatives.
