Encoding Magnetic Anisotropies in Digital Light Processing 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid magnetic device—combining a coaxial coil within a nested Halbach array—is presented, integrated into a DLP 3D printer to enable spatially resolved magnetic field control. This system enables complex, multimodal responses by programming liquid crystal elastomer resins for magnetic and thermal actuation, and by inducing electrically conductive ...

Universal Electronic‐Structure Relationship Governing Intrinsic Magnetic Properties in Permanent Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Permanent magnets derive their extraordinary strength from deep, universal electronic‐structure principles that control magnetization, anisotropy, and intrinsic performance. This work uncovers those governing rules, examines modern modeling and AI‐driven discovery methods, identifies critical bottlenecks, and reveals electronic fingerprints shared ...

Numerical analysis and simulation of the compact difference scheme for the pseudo-parabolic Burgers' equation

open access: yesElectronic Research Archive
In this paper, we analyzed and tested a nonlinear implicit compact finite difference scheme for the pseudo-parabolic Burgers' equation. The discrete conservation laws and boundedness of the scheme were rigorously established.

A High-Order Compact 2D FDFD Method for Waveguides

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2012
A high-order compact two-dimensional finite-difference frequency-domain (2D FDFD) method is proposed for the analysis of the dispersion characteristics of waveguides. A surface impedance boundary condition (SIBC) for the high-order compact 2D FDFD method

Time-stable boundary conditions for finite-difference schemes solving hyperbolic systems: Methodology and application to high-order compact schemes [PDF]

open access: yes
We present a systematic method for constructing boundary conditions (numerical and physical) of the required accuracy, for compact (Pade-like) high-order finite-difference schemes for hyperbolic systems. First, a roper summation-by-parts formula is found

Micro and Nanostructural Diversity of Lizard Osteoderm Capping Tissue in Relation to Mechanical Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that lizard osteoderm capping tissue is a hyper‐mineralized hydroxyapatite layer consistently covering the superficial osteoderm surface in those species studied here, yet it varies greatly in morphology, nanostructure, and mechanical performance across species.

Multigrid Method for Solution of 3D Helmholtz Equation Based on HOC Schemes

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
A higher order compact difference (HOC) scheme with uniform mesh sizes in different coordinate directions is employed to discretize a two- and three-dimensional Helmholtz equation.

A new high-order compact ADI finite difference scheme for solving 3D nonlinear Schrödinger equation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
In this paper, firstly, we solve the linear 3D Schrödinger equation using Douglas–Gunn alternating direction implicit (ADI) scheme and high-order compact (HOC) ADI scheme, which have the order O(τ2+h2) $O(\tau^{2}+h^{2})$ and O(τ2+h4) $O(\tau^{2}+h^{4})$,
