Fourth order accurate compact scheme with group velocity control (GVC)

open access: yes, 2001
For solving complex flow field with multi-scale structure higher order accurate schemes are preferred. Among high order schemes the compact schemes have higher resolving efficiency.

A Compact Transmission-Line Self-Matched Negative Group Delay Microwave Circuit

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
A compact self-matched negative group delay (NGD) circuit without the need for an external matching circuit is proposed. The proposed NGD circuit is composed of two-port open-circuited coupled lines, a short-circuited transmission line and two resistors ...

Automorphisms of locally compact groups [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1978
It is proved that for arbitrary locally compact groups G the automorphism group Aut (G) is a complete topological group. Several conditions equivalent to closedness of the group Int (G) of inner automorphisms are given, such as G admits no nontrivial central sequences. It is shown that Aut (G) is topologically embedded in the automorphism group Aut^(G)

DEFINABLY COMPACT ABELIAN GROUPS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Logic, 2004
Let M be an o-minimal expansion of a real closed field. Let G be a definably compact definably connected abelian n-dimensional group definable in M. We show the following: the o-minimal fundamental group of G is isomorphic to ℤn; for each k>0, the k-torsion subgroup of G is isomorphic to (ℤ/kℤ)n, and the o-minimal cohomology algebra over ℚ of G is ...

Semiparametric estimation of shifts on compact Lie groups for image registration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we focus on estimating the deformations that may exist between similar images in the presence of additive noise when a reference template is unknown. The deformations aremodeled as parameters lying in a finite dimensional compact Lie group.

Free compact groups I: Free compact abelian groups

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 1986
The structure of free compact abelian groups is investigated. A compact abelian group G is free compact abelian if and only if \(G\cong K\times {\hat {\mathbb{Q}}}^ a\times \prod_{p\in prime}{\mathbb{Z}}^ b_ p\), where \({\hat {\mathbb{Q}}}\) is the character group of the discrete group of rationals, K is a compact connected abelian group with dense ...

Decompounding on Compact Lie Groups [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2010
Noncommutative harmonic analysis is used to solve a nonparametric estimation problem stated in terms of compound Poisson processes on compact Lie groups. This problem of decompounding is a generalization of a similar classical problem. The proposed solution is based on a char- acteristic function method.

Conditions implying the uniqueness of the weak*-topology on certain group algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We investigate possible preduals of the measure algebra M(G) of a locally compact group and the Fourier algebra A(G) of a separable compact group. Both of these algebras are canonically dual spaces and the canonical preduals make the multiplication ...

Estimation of the Degree of Polarization for Hybrid/Compact and Linear Dual-Pol SAR Intensity Images: Principles and Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Analysis and comparison of linear and hybrid/compact dual-polarization (dual-pol) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery have gained a wholly new importance in the last few years, in particular, with the advent of new spaceborne SARs such as the Japanese

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...
