Compact groups (CGs) of galaxies are dense systems where projected separations are comparable to their optical diameters. A subset—non-isolated CGs—are embedded within major structures. Using multiband S-PLUS data, we analyse galaxies in 122 non-isolated

On distal and equicontinuous compact right topological groups
W. Ruppert has studied, and given examples of, compact left topological groups for which the left translation flow (λG,G) is equicontinuous. Recently, we considered an analogous distal condition that applies to the groups of dynamical type; for these the

Linear flows on compact, semisimple Lie groups: stability and periodic orbits
Our first purpose is to study the stability of linear flows on real, connected, compact, semisimple Lie groups. Our second purpose is to study periodic orbits of linear and invariant flows.

Cores of hyperbolic 3-manifolds and limits of Kleinian groups II [PDF]
Troels Jørgensen conjectured that the algebraic and geometric limits of an algebraically convergent sequence of isomorphic Kleinian groups agree if there are no new parabolics in the algebraic limit.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Compactness in Wiener amalgams on locally compact groups
We study the compactness of bounded subsets in a Wiener amalgam whose local and global components are solid Banach function (BF) spaces on a locally compact group.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Abstract Lie groups and locally compact topological groups
We introduce a notion of abstract Lie group by means of the mapping which plays the role of the evolution operator. We show some basic properties of such groups very similar to the fundamentals of the infinite dimensional Lie theory.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Measure equivalence and coarse equivalence for unimodular locally compact groups
This article is concerned with measure equivalence and uniform measure equivalence of locally compact, second countable groups. We show that two unimodular, locally compact, second countable groups are measure equivalent if and only if they admit free ...
