Partial transmit sequence (PTS) is one of the effective techniques for reducing the peak‐to‐average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. PTS technique has some issues such as higher computational complexity due to its exhaustive searching of optimal phase factors.

PSO Algorithm on PAPR Reduction Performance of Asymmetrically Clipped Optical‐OFDM
This research presents a novel hybrid optimization framework combining artificial neural networks (ANN) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) to mitigate the high peak‐to‐average power ratio (PAPR) in asymmetrically clipped optical‐orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (ACO‐OFDM) systems. While conventional PTS effectively reduces PAPR, it suffers

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is the highly spectrally well‐organized method that has the difficulty of excessive peak power to average power ratio (PAPR), which ultimately imposes constraints on the high‐power amplifier. Many practices have been projected to lessen PAPR of the OFDM systems.

High-Resolution Scalar Quantization with Rényi Entropy Constraint [PDF]
We consider optimal scalar quantization with $r$th power distortion and constrained R\'enyi entropy of order $\alpha$. For sources with absolutely continuous distributions the high rate asymptotics of the quantizer distortion has long been known for ...

This article proposes a hybrid SLM+PTS+RNN algorithm to mitigate the high PAPR challenge in UFMC systems for B5G networks. The method significantly improves power efficiency (by 30%–40%) while maintaining BER and PSD performance, outperforming traditional PAPR reduction techniques.

Smart hospitals have enormous potential to improve global standards of medical services. Integrating fifth‐generation (5G) and beyond 5G radio with the present healthcare framework can make hospitals smarter. High spectral access, data rate, capacity, low latency, and large data handling are requirements of innovative hospitals.

A data clipping and normalization technique is employed to improve the performance of the overall direct detection optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DCO‐OFDM) system. A detailed analysis of clipping distortion introduced by digital clipping and normalization is provided. The normalization operation amplifies the clipped data signal to

A PAPR correction scheme for LoRa self‐jamming waveforms
A self‐jamming scheme of LoRa waveforms enabling secure transmissions is recently proposed in literature, which performs well in simulations. However, experiments on SDR equipment immediately showed that a transmission is impossible due to PAPR introduced by the waveform modification.

Light‐emitting diode‐ (LED‐) based visible light communication (VLC) has become a potential candidate for next generation high‐speed indoor wireless communication. Due to the limited modulation bandwidth of the LED, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation is particularly preferred in the VLC system to overcome the ISI, which ...
