Orthogonal Peak Cancellation: A Bandwidth-Efficient Companding Method for PAPR Reduction in OFDM

IEEE Communications Letters
Companding techniques are effective in reducing the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems; however, they lead to either bandwidth expansion or degradation in Bit Error Rate (BER) performance.

New error function companding technique to minimize PAPR in LTE uplink communications

2017 Twenty-third National Conference on Communications (NCC), 2017
Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) has been implemented successfully for uplink communications in 3rd Generation Partnership Project Long Term Evolution. SC-FDMA has low peak to average power ratio (PAPR) in contrast to OFDMA due to lower signal envelope fluctuations in SC-FDMA signal.

Performance Analysis of UAV-NOMA System: A Study on Modulation, BER, and PAPR Reduction Using μ-law Companding

International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology
(UAVs) Unmanned Aerial Vehicles hold significant promise in enhancing wireless connectivity, especially for wireless networks of 5 G and beyond 5 G (B5G). UAVs can function as aerial base stations (BS), providing flexible and efficient wireless coverage.
