Xeroradiography of the breast. A comparative study with conventional film mammography
Cancer, 1971Xeroradiography was compared with conventional film mammography by asking 40 radiologists to diagnosis 48 histologically proven cases as malignant or benign on the basis of xeroradiographs and mammograms. Xeroradiography was significantly superior overall (79.9% vs. 73.6%) and in the diagnosis of malignancy (84.3% vs.

Comparative study on disintegration methods for oral film preparations
European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, 2018Orodispersible films (ODFs) provide high application comfort due to rapid disintegration in the oral cavity. They increasingly found the approval of pharmaceutical research and development and were added to the European Pharmacopeia in 2012. The European Pharmacopeia explicitly demands disintegration testing for ODFs, but does not refer to a suitable ...

Lanthanide-Doped Scandia and Yttria Cathodoluminescent Films: A Comparative Study
Chemistry of Materials, 2008A comparative study of red-green-blue cathodoluminescent films based on yttria (Y2O3) and scandia (Sc2O3) as host materials was carried out. Europia (Eu2O3), terbia (Tb2O3) and thulia (Tm2O3) were used as dopant, respectively, for the red, green, and blue light emissions.

Emulsions based on licorice essential oil (LEO) were prepared under different homogenization conditions (ultra-homogenization (U1) or U1 together with sonication (U2)). The obtained emulsions were incorporated into the carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) film.

Comparative Study of Anisotropy Fields in Garnet Films
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1984Measurements of the anisotropy fields were performed on “as grown” Bi-TmFeGa Garnet, Bi-YIG and commercial 2 µm bubble film with compositions that were grown on [111] GGG substrates. Results from three independent measurement techniques of the anisotropy field are compared and reported.

Sportsvision: comparative study of the characteristics of the tear film
International Contact Lens Clinic, 2000Abstract The study was designed in order to evaluate the tear film characteristics of elite athletes in four sports and compare them with those of a sedentary population. The effects of training on the tear film was studied. Methods: Quantitative (red phenol thread and meniscus height) and qualitative (TTT and BUT) tests were conducted on a group of ...

A comparative study of Hillock formation in aluminum films
Thin Solid Films, 1995Abstract Studies were conducted to evaluate the performance of a variety of aluminum alloys with respect to hillock formation. Specifically, the effects of film composition, deposition temperature, and underlayer on hillock formation were investigated.

Comparative study of textured and epitaxial ZnO films
Journal of Crystal Growth, 2000Abstract ZnO films were synthesized by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on GaAs and α-Al 2 O 3 substrates. The properties of ZnO films on GaAs and α-Al 2 O 3 have been investigated to determine the differences between epitaxial and textured ZnO films.

Comparative study of the behavior of anions in polypyrrole films
Electrochimica Acta, 2005Abstract Voltammetric studies of polypyrrole (PPy) films doped with Cl − , Br − , NO 3 − , and ClO 4 − anions under precisely controlled conditions show that the redox activity of the polymer film is determined by the nature of the anions used during the electrodeposition and is almost independent of the anions used in the electrochemical studies.
