FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.The brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys, mainly secretes 4‐oxo‐(E)‐2‐hexenal, (E)‐2‐decenal, dodecane and tridecane, a mixture representative of that released by many heteropterans. We demonstrated that H. halys can synthesise these secretory components de novo using dietary glucose.

Heterotropic regulation and negative homotropic cooperativity
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.We identified a structural module common to some proteins that couple negative cooperativity with heterotropic regulation, two features that rarely coexist. These proteins are ring‐like and present an ordered asymmetry whereby noncontacting subunits are symmetric, and their tertiary structure differs from that of contacting subunits.

FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Human ABCE1 cannot functionally replace its yeast ortholog. Yeast–human chimera analysis identified NBD1 as a major interspecies barrier. Genetic screening yielded hABCE1 revertants that rescue yeast viability but fail to suppress aberrant translation reinitiation in the 3′ UTR.

A comparative clinical study of group D and E dental film
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1987 Dental clinicians were asked to distinguish differences in radiographic detail between complete mouth surveys taken with the use of D- and E-speed films. In complete mouth surveys consisting of one half D-speed and one half E-speed films, clinicians could not correctly identify the half of the survey taken with D-speed film 55% of the time.
