Evaluating the (comparative) safety profile of the novel oral polio vaccine type 2 using individual case safety reports in VigiBase

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim Novel oral polio vaccine type 2 (nOPV2) was used under the WHO emergency use listing for circulating vaccine‐derived polio virus (cVDPV) outbreaks from 2021 to 2023. We assessed nOPV2 adverse events following immunization (AEFIs) and compared its safety profile to other vaccines using VigiBase.

Lost and found in translation: the value of the human imiquimod model

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Topical imiquimod (IMQ), a Toll‐like receptor (TLR) 7 agonist, induces transient cutaneous inflammation and is widely used in preclinical research as a ‘psoriasis‐like’ mouse model. Safety and pharmacokinetics of mosliciguat, a new, inhaled soluble guanylate cyclase activator, in healthy adult subjects

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim Mosliciguat (BAY 1237592), the first soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) activator in a dry powder inhaler (DPI), could potentially treat pulmonary hypertension with a more targeted delivery than systemic sGC stimulators. We report safety and tolerability of mosliciguat in healthy men.
