Clinical Results: A Comparison

1985
A great number of different implants have been recommended for the stabilization of trochanteric fractures. As discussed before (Sect. 2), the treatment of stable trochanteric fractures is easy with any implant, but problems are frequent with unstable fracture types. An optimal implant should fulfill the following criteria: 1.

Optimization Results and Comparison

2012
The previous chapter introduced and classified the considered electromagnetic coupling architectures. Overall boundary conditions for centimeter scale vibration transducers were defined. In order to compare the performance limits of the architectures these boundary conditions are applied to all architectures.

Comparison of Existence Results for Efficient Points

Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2000
The paper develops a classification of most known existence results for efficient points that is based on general existence results for maximal elements with respect to transitive relations. By associating a reflexive and transitive relation with a convex cone, existence results for maximal points with respect to general transitive relations are ...

Experimental Results and Comparisons

1994
The controllers defined in the last chapter were implemented experimentally using the hardware and software described in chapter 4. To evaluate their performance and to compare the results under practical operating conditions, laboratory tests have been carried out and will be discussed in the following sections.

Results, Demonstrations and Comparisons

2003
Our main focus so far has been the formal definition of a unification and constraint tool over conceptual structures. We now demonstrate the significance of this extended Conceptual Graph model defined in the first three chapters. This chapter will present the results of applying that tool to real-world domains.

Comparisons and Computational Results

1988
In the previous chapters we have described several variable dimension restart algorithms on the simplotope. These algorithms differ in the number of rays along which the algorithm can leave the starting point and in the underlying subdivision. The algorithms also differ with respect to their applicability to the problems discussed in Chapter 2.

Comparison of experimental results

1999
Round robins represent excellent opportunities to compare results obtained by several variations of the same measuring method, and in particular to compare the performances of competing measuring methods. In fact, it is the same measured item which circulates in partners’ laboratories, who afterwards meet to discuss the results and try to find the ...

Quantitative comparisons of search engine results

Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, 2008
AbstractSearch engines are normally used to find information or Web sites, but Webometric investigations use them for quantitative data such as the number of pages matching a query and the international spread of those pages. For this type of application, the accuracy of the hit count estimates and range of URLs in the full results are important. Here,

Presenting Comparison Results

2009
Presenting comparison results to outsiders, we have to take into account that persons that are used to handling projects but not project comparisons normally expect more exactness coming from regular detailed planning. They are inclined to overestimate the exactness of project comparison results.

Comparison of Results of Treatment of Fistula-in-Ano

Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, 1984
The results of treatment of 137 consecutive patients with fistula-in-ano are presented. Sixty-eight were treated by the ‘lay-open’ technique and 69 by the Parks technique, the two groups being comparable. The results slightly favour the Parks technique.
