Polymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.This illustration shows polyamide 6 (PA6) blended with 20–50% polybutylene succinate (PBS) by volume. The balance between tensile properties, fracture toughness and self‐healing capability is achieved in the 30% vol PBS blend. Thermal healing at 140°C results in 40% fracture toughness recovery in a blend containing 30% vol PBS.
