Mechanical Performance Under Compressive Load of Carboxylated Nitrile Rubber and Kraft Lignin Composites

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 5, Page 3983-3993, 10 March 2026.
Lignin dispersion in carboxylated nitrile rubber (XNBR) is enhanced at 7% carboxylic acid, significantly improving the composite's compressive mechanical performance for sealing applications. ABSTRACT Lignin is a promising biobased material that enhances the sustainability of rubber composites as a reinforcing filler.

Effect of Compatibilizer on PLA/PP Blend for Injection Molding

open access: yes, 2016
Polymer blends of poly(lactic acid) and polypropylene were prepared for the application to injection molding products. Due to the phase separation of PLA and PP, the addition of polypropylene-graft-maleic anhydride (PP-g-MAH) as a compatibilizer was ...

Alpha‐Ester Aryl Diazirines: Low‐Temperature Carbene Progenitors for Materials Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 5, 3 March 2026.
A synthetic route to α‐ester aryl diazirines is established. The products are shown to have low activation temperatures, and to form stabilized singlet carbenes, resulting in high‐yielding C–H insertion to unactivated aliphatic bonds. Applications in materials science and tissue adhesion are proposed.

Synergistic Compatibilization of CsPbBr3 Perovskites and HfO2 Nanocrystals for Hybrid Sensitized Nanoscintillators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 23, 19 March 2026.
Lead halide perovskite nanocrystals are promising scintillators but suffer from reabsorption losses and limited compatibility with high‐Z additives. Hybridization of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals with PbBr2‐passivated HfO2 nanoparticle sensitizers, achieved during or after synthesis, produces stable composites with maintained optical quality, improved ...

Record‐High Latent Heat, Ultra‐Fast Relaxation and Closed‐Loop Recycling Double‐Brush Polymer Networks for Self‐Adaptive Thermal Interface Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
By grafting dense long double‐brush chains, we synthesized bottlebrush networks with high theoretical enthalpy. Their low entanglement, combined with dynamic bonds, promotes crystalline domain reorganization and minimizes enthalpy loss, achieving a record enthalpy of 240.7 J·g−1.
