We exemplify an optimisation criteria for divide-and-conquer algorithms with a technique called generic competitive graph search. The technique is then applied to solve two problems arising from biocomputing, so-called \emph{Common Connected Components} and \emph{Cograph Sandwich}.

Search results diversification in competitive search
In Web retrieval, there are many cases of competition between authors of Web documents: their incentive is to have their documents highly ranked for queries of interest. As such, the Web is a prominent example of a competitive search setting. Past work on competitive search focused on ranking functions based solely on relevance estimation.

Inflation, price competition, and consumer search technology [PDF]
This paper studies an (S, s) pricing model from the perspective of inflation and price competition in search markets. I present a model in which consumers'search technologies can influence firms' price setting, price dispersion, and the market structure.

Objective Knee osteoarthritis (OA) commonly affects individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and is associated with increased risk of diabetes‐related complications. To better understand potential mechanisms, we examined the association between symptomatic knee OA and glycemic control in individuals with T2DM.

INFLATION AND UNEMPLOYMENT IN COMPETITIVE SEARCH EQUILIBRIUM [PDF]
Rocheteau, Rupert, and Wright [Scandinavian Journal of Economics 109 (2007), 837–855] show that the relationship between inflation and unemployment can be positive or negative, depending on the primitives of the model. The key features are indivisible labor, nonseparable preferences, and bargaining.

Objective We aimed to estimate the prevalence and cumulative incidence of hydroxychloroquine retinopathy (HCQ‐R) and its risk factors among patients receiving long‐term HCQ with rheumatic diseases through a systematic review and meta‐analysis of observational studies that used spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography (SD‐OCT) for screening ...

Objective To support high‐quality, patient‐centered care for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) developed evidence‐based measures incorporating clinical and patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs). Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), we conducted semistructured interviews ...

Recent results from the ANTARES deep sea neutrino telescope
The ANTARES deep sea neutrino telescope has acquired over four years of high quality data. This data has been used to measure the oscillation parameters of atmospheric neutrinos and also to search for neutrinos of a non-terrestrial origin.
