Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Multi-Sensor Fusion and Error Compensation of Attitude Measurement System for Shaft Boring Machine

open access: yesSensors, 2019
To ensure that the shaft boring machine (SBM) runs along the pre-designed axis steadily, the role of the attitude measurement system is essential, but its accuracy and reliability cannot be guaranteed.

Design of PID Controllers Satisfying Gain Margin and Sensitivity Constraints on a Set of Plants [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This paper presents a method for the design of PID-type controllers, including those augmented by a filter on the D element, satisfying a required gain margin and an upper bound on the (complementary) sensitivity for a finite set of plants.

Weak lensing detection of intra-cluster filaments with ground based data

open access: yes, 2013
According to the current standard model of Cosmology, matter in the Universe arranges itself along a network of filamentary structure. These filaments connect the main nodes of this so-called 'Cosmic Web', which are clusters of galaxies.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Online adaptive complementation tracker

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2018
Correlation filter-based trackers have recently shown excellent performance in terms of motion blur and illumination changes, but they are notoriously sensitive to deformation. It has been demonstrated that the combination of the correlation filter-based

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

SSB-FDM using complementary comb filters

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1981
The letter describes single-sideband frequency division multiplex (SSB-FDM) systems using complementary comb filters. A lot of analogue bandpass filters in conventional modulators and demodulators can be replaced by comb filters. In the case of a 12-channel FDM system, SSB modulators can be implemented by 12 product modulators and a pair of ...

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Comparison of Six Sensor Fusion Algorithms with Electrogoniometer Estimation of Wrist Angle in Simulated Work Tasks

open access: yesSensors
Hand-intensive work is strongly associated with work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) of the hand/wrist and other upper body regions across diverse occupations, including office work, manufacturing, services, and healthcare.
