Indirect tuning of a complementary orientation filter using velocity data and a genetic algorithm

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering
In this paper, the accuracy of inertial sensor orientation relative to the level frame is improved through optimal tuning of a complementary filter by a genetic algorithm.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Complementary filter synthesis of gyrostabilizer

open access: yesMECHANICS OF GYROSCOPIC SYSTEMS, 2019

Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Multiband Terahertz Self-Complementary Metasurface

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A self-complementary metasurface is presented for application in multiband terahertz filters. The unit cell structures of the self-complementary metasurface consist of a combination of an ordinary Jerusalem cross and its complementary counterpart that ...

Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Similarity-Based Adaptive Complementary Filter for IMU Fusion [PDF]

open access: yes2018 European Control Conference (ECC), 2018
This paper addresses the attitude estimation problem using vector and gyroscope measurements. We propose a novel adaptation scheme for the complementary filter cut-off frequency which is based on the similarity between independent estimates obtained from the vector and gyroscope measurements.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
