A Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (CSRR)-Based 2D Displacement Sensor

open access: yesSymmetry, 2022
In this paper, a two-dimensional (2D) displacement sensor based on the diagonal symmetry complementary split-ring resonator (CSRR) structure is proposed. The one-dimensional (1D) displacement sensor is initially developed by etching a ring on the ground plane, and a triangle metal patch is used as the mover. When the mover is attached, a CSRR is formed,

Stretchable Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR)-Based Radio Frequency (RF) Sensor for Strain Direction and Level Detection. [PDF]

open access: yesSensors (Basel), 2016
In this paper, we proposed a stretchable radio frequency (RF) sensor to detect strain direction and level. The stretchable sensor is composed of two complementary split ring resonators (CSRR) with microfluidic channels. In order to achieve stretchability, liquid metal (eutectic gallium-indium, EGaIn) and Ecoflex substrate are used.

Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR)-Loaded Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) Metamaterial Antenna

open access: yesIEICE Transactions on Communications, 2012
We propose a novel metamaterial antenna that is based on loading a single complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) onto a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structure. Negative order and zeroth-order resonance can be observed in the proposed structure. These resonance modes are used to reduce the antenna size.

Microwave Polarizer Based on Complementary Split Ring Resonators Frequency-Selective Surface for Conformal Application

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In this paper, a microwave polarizer based on frequency selective surface (FSS) loaded with complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) for non-planar and conformal application is presented. The frequency-selective polarizer is fabricated on liquid crystal

Dual-Band Microstrip Antenna Based on Polarization Conversion Metasurface Structure

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2020
A dual-band microstrip patch antenna (MPA) based on a polarization conversion metasurface structure was designed. By etching the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) on the ground plane, a new resonance frequency is generated.
