A Microstrip Highpass Filter with Complementary Split Ring Resonators
PIERS Online, 2007An accurate equivalent circuit model for the microstrip line with a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), and the parameter extraction method, are presented. A highpass filter with steep rejection is designed based on the model. The measurement results confirm the efficient analysis and design procedure and the validity of the highpass filter ...

Novel compact single complementary split ring resonator
2009 3rd IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation and EMC Technologies for Wireless Communications, 2009A novel design of compact single complementary split ring resonator which is realized by loading a pair of narrow slots in the split of the ring is proposed. The equivalent circuit model of the structure is presented and the electrical parameters are also extracted.

Complementary split-ring resonator-based accelerating structure
Journal of Instrumentation, 2013We describe a novel particle accelerating structure consisting of Complementary Split-Ring Resonators (C-SRRs) etched into the lower and upper walls of a copper rectangular waveguide. Outer cylindrical cavities enclosing the C-SRR sections allow a vacuum to be maintained.

Open Complementary Split-Ring Resonator for Eye Tracking
2019 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS), 2019This paper presents a microwave planar sensor for eye tracking. The sensor is implemented using coplanar waveguide (CPW) technology and consists of two identical configurations with a pair of mirror-symmetrical open complementary split-ring resonators in each eye corner.

Complementary split-ring resonator as a high sensitivity sensor
Proceedings of the 2012 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation, 2012A new sensor based on complementary split-ring resonators (CSRR) is proposed. The sensor can detect sub-millimeter micro-surface cracks effectively. The crack perturbs the electromagnetic field around in the close vicinity of the CSRR gap, thereby causing a shift in the resonance frequency of the CSRR resonator.

Method for characterization of multilayer substrates with complementary split-ring resonators
Review of Scientific InstrumentsThis paper presents a methodology based on the use of multiple complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) in square form to obtain the relative permittivity of individual layers of a multilayer dielectric sample. The sensor uses CSRRs with different maximum penetration depths to analyze various sections of the sample. The methodology uses the resonant

A novel miniaturized hybrid ring using complementary split ring resonators
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2008AbstractIn this article, a novel miniaturized hybrid ring operating at 2 GHz is presented. By replacing the 270° branch line of conventional hybrid ring by −90° left‐handed branch line realized by complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs), the occupied area of our proposed hybrid ring can be reduced by 60% from that of the conventional one.

Study of Circular Complementary Split Ring Resonator on a Heterogeneous Substrate Material
Wireless Personal Communications, 2020A circular patch loaded with a circular complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is fabricated on a heterogeneous substrate material. The CSRR helps to reduce the size of antenna up to 44.26%. A 2.4 GHz ISM band circular patch antenna is constructed, fabricated and identified as prototype for wireless applications.

Material Characterization using Complementary Split Ring Resonators

ABSTRACTIn this letter, a novel microstrip patch antenna is designed with the use of both split ring resonator (SRR) and complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). The use of SRR and CSRR in the substrate and base material, respectively, have changed the behavior of the material and now it acts as metamaterial. Metamaterials exhibit new electromagnetic
