Complete Invariant Graphs of Alternating Knots

open access: yes, 2004
Chord diagrams and related enlacement graphs of alternating knots are enhanced to obtain complete invariant graphs including chirality detection. Moreover, the equivalence by common enlacement graph is specified and the neighborhood graph is defined for general purpose and for special application to knots.

Subjective Cognitive Concerns and Cognitive Trajectories in Parkinson's Disease: Biomarker Impact

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the relationship of subjective cognitive concerns (SCC) with biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD), neurodegeneration, and Parkinson's disease (PD) and domain‐specific cognitive trajectories among cognitively unimpaired persons with de novo PD. Method Cognitively unimpaired participants with SCC (n = 294) and without SCC (

A Ramsey-Theory-Based Approach to the Dynamics of Systems of Material Points

open access: yesDynamics
We propose a Ramsey-theory-based approach for the analysis of the behavior of isolated mechanical systems containing interacting particles. The total momentum of the system in the frame of the center of masses is zero.

Hypergraph removal lemmas via robust sharp threshold theorems

open access: yesDiscrete Analysis, 2020
Hypergraph removal lemmas via robust sharp threshold theorems, Discrete Analysis 2020:10, 46 pp. A central result in additive and extremal combinatorics is the triangle removal lemma, which roughly speaking states that a graph with few triangles can be ...

A Return to Normality: A Descriptive Qualitative Interview Study Exploring the Patient Experience of Gout Flare Resolution

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Although the definition of a gout flare is well established, the state of gout flare resolution has not yet been defined. This study aimed to explore patients’ experiences and perceptions of gout flare resolution. Methods Semistructured interviews were conducted with 24 people with gout, guided by open‐ended questions exploring their ...

The symmetric division Szeged index: A novel tool for predicting physical and chemical properties of complex networks

open access: yesHeliyon
This paper introduces a novel graph invariant, the symmetric division Szeged index (SDZ), which generalizes earlier concepts by focusing on vertices positioned closer to an edge's endpoints rather than vertex degrees.

Material Property Prediction Using Graphs Based on Generically Complete Isometry Invariants

open access: yesIntegrating Materials and Manufacturing Innovation
AbstractThe structure–property hypothesis says that the properties of all materials are determined by an underlying crystal structure. The main obstacle was the ambiguity of conventional crystal representations based on incomplete or discontinuous descriptors that allow false negatives or false positives.

Longitudinal Changes in Adiposity After a Youth Sport‐Related Knee Injury: Informing Posttraumatic Osteoarthritis Prevention

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Youth who experience a sport‐related knee injury have elevated odds of becoming overweight or developing obesity in 3 to 10 years, compounding their risk for posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). To inform prevention strategies, this study compared patterns of adiposity change between youth with a sport‐related knee injury and uninjured youth ...

Reconstruction of Radio Environment Map Based on Multi-Source Domain Adaptive of Graph Neural Network for Regression

open access: yesSensors
The graph neural network (GNN) has shown outstanding performance in processing unstructured data. However, the downstream task performance of GNN strongly depends on the accuracy of data graph structural features and, as a type of deep learning (DL ...

Microvascular Damage Is Associated With Carotid Wall Structural Changes in Systemic Sclerosis: A Capillaroscopy and Ultrasound‐Based Observational Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is characterized by cardiovascular risk excess not fully explained by traditional factors. Whether the severity of microvascular damage correlates with structural subclinical atherosclerosis remains unclear. We investigated the relationship between nailfold videocapillaroscopy (NVC) abnormalities and carotid ...
