Surface Diffusion in SnTe‐PbTe Monolayer Lateral Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The lateral heterostructures between 2D materials often suffer from the interdiffusion at the interfaces. Here, a surface diffusion mechanism is found to be dominating at the interfaces between semiconducting SnTe and PbTe monolayers. Atomically sharp interfaces can be achieved by suppressing this diffusion process. ABSTRACT The construction of complex

Crossing a Multi-Lane Street: Irrelevant Cars Increase Unsafe Behavior

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences, 2011
Before crossing a road or an intersection, road users have to determine among the surrounding traffic whether or not they have enough time to safely complete their maneuver.

Equivariant A-twisted GLSM and Gromov-Witten invariants of CY 3-folds in Grassmannians

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We compute genus-zero Gromov-Witten invariants of Calabi-Yau complete intersection 3-folds in Grassmannians using supersymmetric localization in A-twisted nonAbelian gauged linear sigma models. We also discuss a Seiberg-like duality interchanging Gr(n, m)

Universal Electronic‐Structure Relationship Governing Intrinsic Magnetic Properties in Permanent Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Permanent magnets derive their extraordinary strength from deep, universal electronic‐structure principles that control magnetization, anisotropy, and intrinsic performance. This work uncovers those governing rules, examines modern modeling and AI‐driven discovery methods, identifies critical bottlenecks, and reveals electronic fingerprints shared ...

Machine learning Calabi–Yau three-folds, four-folds, and five-folds

open access: yesPhysics Open
In this manuscript, we demonstrate, using several regression techniques, that the remaining independent Hodge numbers of complete intersection Calabi–Yau four-folds and five-folds can be machine learned from h1,1 and h2,1.

From Mechanics to Electronics: Influence of ALD Interlayers on the Multiaxial Electro‐Mechanical Behavior of Metal–Oxide Bilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin AlOxHy interlayers between aluminum films and polymer substrates significantly improve electro‐mechanical properties of flexible thin film systems. By precisely controlling interlayer thickness using atomic layer deposition, this study identifies an optimal interlayer thickness of 5–10 nm that enhances ductility and delays cracking.

Cluster functions and scattering amplitudes for six and seven points

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
Scattering amplitudes in planar super-Yang-Mills theory satisfy several basic physical and mathematical constraints, including physical constraints on their branch cut structure and various empirically discovered connections to the mathematics of cluster
