Pathways and pitfalls: a qualitative study of student experiences in biomedical science education

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Biomedical science students from underrepresented backgrounds face barriers including financial strain, disrupted laboratory access and cultural exclusion. Peer networks provide vital support when institutional systems are difficult to navigate. To create inclusive learning environments and achieve academic success, educators should blend active, hands‐

MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...

On Dual Toric Complete Intersection Codes

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we study duality for evaluation codes on intersections of ℓ hypersurfaces with given ℓ-dimensional Newton polytopes, so called toric complete intersection codes. In particular, we give a condition for such a code to be quasi-self-dual.

Complete intersection curves in biprojective spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In this Thesis are classified all complete intersection curves in biprojective spaces whose canonical sheaf is a hyperplane section. Then it is studied the geometry of these curves with respect to their gonality and existence of linear system.

On complete intersections

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institut Fourier, 2001
We construct closed complex submanifolds of ℂ n which are differential but not holomorphic complete intersections.

Intelligent Tutoring Systems for Adult Learning in STEM Disciplines

open access: yesNew Directions for Adult and Continuing Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) are reshaping adult learning in STEM by providing adaptive, data‐driven instruction across classrooms, workplaces, and informal environments. In the context of ITS, this article compares generative AI, which creates personalized explanations and practice materials, with explainable AI, which focuses on ...

Complete intersection Calabi-Yau manifolds

open access: yes, 1988
An investigation is made of a class of Calabi-Yau spaces for which the manifold may be represented as a complete intersection of polynomials in a product of projective spaces.

Euler-symmetric complete intersection in projective space

open access: yes, 2022
Euler-symmetric projective varieties, introduced by Baohua Fu and Jun-Muk Hwang in 2020, are nondegenerate projective varieties admitting many $\mathbb{C}^{\times}$-actions of Euler type.

On systems, maximal Γ-hyperideals and complete prime Γ-radicals in Γ-semihypergroups [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Hyperstructures, 2019
In this paper c-system , n-system and complete prime Γ-radical in a Γ-semihypergroup are introduced and studied whiledefinition of m-system has been revised. Maximal Γ-hyperideals are studied and the conditions under which maximal Γ-hyperideals are prime

Complete intersection lattice ideals

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2005
In this paper we completely characterize lattice ideals that are complete intersections or equivalently complete intersections finitely generated semigroups of $\bz^n\oplus T$ with no invertible elements, where $T$ is a finite abelian group. We also characterize the lattice ideals that are set-theoretic complete intersections on binomials.
