The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of sweet cherry (Prunus avium cv. ‘summit’)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2019
Sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) is one of the two major species of cherries in world trade. In this study, we determined the complete mitochondrial genome of sweet cherry cultivar ‘summit’ using whole genome sequencing data.

Gemella morbillorum Promotes Colorectal Carcinogenesis: LPBDCP‐Mediated Invasion Activates Ras Signaling and Destabilizes p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gut microbiota dysbiosis promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) tumorigenesis. A global fecal metagenomic analysis identified Gemella morbillorum as a key contributor to the CRC‐associated microbiota. Fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed that Gemella morbillorum is enriched in CRC tumor tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues.

The complete mitochondrial genome of Gyrodactylus gurleyi (Platyhelminthes: Monogenea)

open access: yes, 2016
Gyrodactylus gurleyi, was inhabited on the fins and gills of goldfish (Carassius auratus), which belonged to the family Gyrodactylidae. In this study, we sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of G. gurleyi with the total length of 14 771 bp.

Self‐Assembling Hybrid Hydrogel Reprograms the Stromal Vascular Fraction to Treat Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioinspired injectable hydrogel that enhances the therapeutic potential of stem cell‐rich stromal vascular fraction for treating osteoarthritis. By reprogramming cell behavior through epigenetic modulation, the hydrogel promotes cartilage regeneration and reduces joint damage in a rat model, offering a promising new approach for ...

The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Triplophysa xiangxiensis (Teleostei: Nemacheilidae)

open access: yes, 2017
The complete mitochondrial genome of the typical cave-dwelling nemacheilid loath species, Triplophysa xiangxiensis, was sequenced. The mitogenome of this blind fish, with 16 598 by in length, composed of 13 protein-coding, 2 rRNA and 22 tRNA genes, and 2

Activation of ERBB4 Pathway Inhibits Pathological Transdifferentiation of Lung Epithelial Progenitors into CD66c+ Basal Cells in Severe Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In fibrotic distal lung regions, CD66c+ basal cells emerge as a pathological state. Using human distal lung organoids, this study identifies CD66c+ basal cells as a pro‐fibrotic state arising through transdifferentiation from secretory, AT2, and basal cells.

Tumor‐Derived Alpha‐1 Antitrypsin Promotes Liver Metastasis of Colorectal Cancer Through the Neutrophil Extracellular Traps–CCDC25 Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liver metastasis is a leading cause of mortality in colorectal cancer (CRC), where the inflammatory tumor microenvironment, specifically neutrophil infiltration, significantly promotes metastatic colonization. This study reveals a pro‐metastatic role for alpha‐1 antitrypsin (A1AT) in CRC liver metastasis via a dual mechanism involving ...
