Complete mitochondrial genome of Paracanthobrama guichenoti
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014In this study, we sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of Paracanthobrama guichenoti. This mitochondrial genome, consisting of 16,607 base pairs, encoded 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, and a non-coding control region as those found in other vertebrates, with the gene synteny identical to that of typical vertebrates.

Complete mitochondrial genome of Coregonus muksum
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2015The complete mitochondrial genome of Coregonus muksum was determined in this study. The mitogenome is 16 736 bp in length and contains one D-loop region, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and 13 protein-coding genes. The overall base composition of the heavy strand is 26.82% for A, 29.50% for C, 18.04% for G, and 25.68% for T.

Complete mitochondrial genome of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2015In this study, we determined the mitochondrial genome of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus. The mitochondrial genome is 15 924 bp in length (GC content: 25.6%), encodes 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 13 protein-coding genes, 21 transfer RNA genes, and 1 D-loop region. nad6 and cob are overlapped by 30 bp and atp8 and atp6 are overlapped by 12 bp. The phylogenetic tree

High-Throughput Sequencing of Complete Mitochondrial Genomes
2016Next-generation sequencing has revolutionized mitogenomics, turning a cottage industry into a high throughput process. This chapter outlines methodologies used to sequence, assemble, and annotate mitogenomes of non-model organisms using Illumina sequencing technology, utilizing either long-range PCR amplicons or gDNA as starting template.
