This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

In this article, we establish several properties of the composition of functions which are related to certain classes of completely monotonic functions and logarithmically completely monotonic functions.

Composite Ti–6Al–4V–epoxy lattice structures are additively manufactured and epoxy infiltrated for cyclic loading. At low lattice volume fractions, hybridization produces synergistic gains in stiffness and energy dissipation. At higher volume fractions, synergy diminishes, although composites still exceed metallic lattices in specific energy ...

Transport measurements on ultra-clean dual-gated suspended bilayer graphene
We fabricate ultra clean contactless dual-gated devices comprised of suspended bilayer graphene (BLG) and investigate their low temperature electron transport properties as functions of charge density n, magnetic field B and electric field E⊥ We find ...

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

A generation method for completely monotone functions
In this article we present technique how to produce completely monotone functions using linear functionals and already known families of completely monotone functions. After that, using mean value theorems, we construct means of Cauchy type that have monotonicity properties.

REMARKS ON COMPLETE MONOTONICITY OF A FUNCTION INVOLVING THE GAMMA FUNCTION
Summary: In the note, the authors give several remarks on the paper [\textit{B. Chen} and \textit{H. Zhou}, Appl. Math. Comput. 242, 658--663 (2014; Zbl 1334.33004)]. By virtue of these, the authors point out several trivial extensions and generalizations and establish some new results on the complete monotonicity of a function involving the classical ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Receptor‐Free Identification of Toxic Gases Enabled by Hygroscopic Aqueous Salt Films
Water as a gas sensor coating sounds impossible—until it stops evaporating. Here, hygroscopic salt solutions (LiCl, LiBr, H3PO4) form non‐drying aqueous films on CNT chemiresistors under ambient air. Gases partition into these liquid layers, sometimes transforming into water, and generate salt‐specific resistance fingerprints across a four‐channel ...

Tough Injectable Hydrogels Enabled by Integrating Rigid Homogeneous Framework With Flexible Chains
Tough injectable hydrogels are constructed by integrating a rigid, homogeneous hyaluronic acid framework with flexible long‐chain connectors. This framework–flexible structure simultaneously enhances network uniformity and promotes effective energy dissipation by enlarging plastic deformation zones under compression.
