EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Arithmetic Hecke operators as completely positive map

open access: yes, 2007
. We prove that the arithmetic Hecke operators are completely positive maps with respect to the Berezin's quantization deformation product of functions on H =\Gamma.

On linear maps leaving invariant the copositive/completely positive cones

open access: yes
summary:The objective of this manuscript is to investigate the structure of linear maps on the space of real symmetric matrices $\mathcal {S}^n$ that leave invariant the closed convex cones of copositive and completely positive matrices (${\rm COP}_n ...

Vanishing quantum discord is not necessary for completely positive maps

open access: yes, 2013
The description of the dynamics of a system that may be correlated with its environment is only meaningful within the context of a specific framework. Different frameworks rely upon different assumptions about the initial system-environment state.

Adjoints and low-rank covariance representation [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 2001
Quantitative measures of the uncertainty of Earth system estimates can be as important as the estimates themselves. Direct calculation of second moments of estimation errors, as described by the covariance matrix, is impractical when the number of ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

C∗-Extreme Points of Positive Operator Valued Measures and Unital Completely Positive Maps

open access: yes, 2021
We study the quantum (C∗) convexity structure of normalized positive operator valued measures (POVMs) on measurable spaces. In particular, it is seen that unlike extreme points under classical convexity, C∗-extreme points of normalized POVMs on countable

Complete positivity of mapping valued linear maps

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 1988
We consider the matrix order structure of ordered Banach space. This notion is an extended version of the order structure of a \(C^ *\)- algebra or a predual of von Neumann algebra induced by the cone of its positive elements. Corresponding to the case that the associated algebra is abelian, we introduce the notion, a matrix ordered Banach space of ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Absolute continuity for operator valued completely positive maps on C *-algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Motivated by applicability to quantum operations, quantum information, and quantum probability, we investigate the notion of absolute continuity for operator valued completely positive maps on C* -algebras, previously introduced by Parthasarathy [in ...
