The Role of “Adult‐Onset” Cancer Predisposition Genes in Pediatric Cancer: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current literature estimates that 10% of pediatric cancers are caused by pathogenic or likely pathogenic (P/LP) germline variants in cancer predisposition genes (CPGs). Variants in CPGs thought to increase cancer risk exclusively during adulthood are referred to as “adult‐onset” CPGs (aoCPGs).

BMT4me En Español: Multisite Feasibility and Usability Testing of a Spanish‐Language mHealth Adherence Support App for Spanish‐Speaking Caregivers of Children After Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cancer Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Medication nonadherence during the first 100 days after pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and during oncology treatment increases risk for complications. BMT4me is a caregiver‐facing mobile health (mHealth) application providing medication reminders, symptom tracking, and note‐taking features to support ...

Improved ()-Expansion Method for the Space and Time Fractional Foam Drainage and KdV Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
The fractional complex transformation is used to transform nonlinear partial differential equations to nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The improved ()-expansion method is suggested to solve the space and time fractional foam drainage and KdV ...

Measurable Residual Disease Monitoring During Treatment for Pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukemia in First Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Survival after relapse in pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains poor, highlighting the critical importance of identifying prognostic factors to guide optimal relapse management. Methods We investigated the prognostic impact of multiparameter flow cytometry (MFC) measurable residual disease (MRD) in 188 patients with first ...

Complex Exponential Method for Solving Partial Differential Equations

open access: yesEngineering Transactions
For constant-coefficient linear partial differential equations solvable by separation of variables, an alternative solution method is proposed. The method employs complex exponential functions to find exact analytical solutions.

Analysis of the n-Term Klein-Gordon Equations in Cantor Sets

open access: yesChaos Theory and Applications, 2023
The effectiveness of the local fractional reduced differential transformation method (LFRDTM) for the approximation of the solution related to the extended n-term local fractional Klein-Gordon equation is the main aim of this paper in which fractional ...

On the computational complexity of ordinary differential equations

open access: yesInformation and Control, 1983
Let f(x,y) be a real-valued continuous function defined on \([0,1]\times [-1,1],\) and consider the first-order ordinary differential equation \(y'(x)=f(x,y(x))\) with the initial condition \(y(0)=0\). The question to be studied here is the computational complexity of the solution y relative to that of f.

Clinical, Histopathological, and Molecular Characterization of Pediatric MN1::ZNF341‐Associated Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A lethal round‐cell malignancy with an MN1::ZNF341 fusion has recently been reported in three infants. Here, we describe four further tumors, three in newborns (including monozygotic twins), and one in an adolescent. Detailed clinical, radiological, and histopathological data differentiate these tumors from their main mimics, neuroblastoma and

Sociodemographic Factors Associated With Later Stage at Diagnosis of Pediatric Germ Cell Tumors: A Report From Children's Oncology Group Registries ACCRN07 and APEC14B1

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Germ cell tumors (GCTs) often arise in the ovaries and testes (extracranial) but can also develop in the brain (intracranial). We examined the relationship of individual, family, and community‐level socioeconomic status (SES) with stage of disease at diagnosis in a cohort of pediatric patients with GCT from Children's Oncology Group
