Detection and early warning of coal mine underground safety event based on event drive
A detection and early warning trigger mode of coal mine underground safety event based on event driven was constructed by using complex event processing technology. By adopting underground RFID personnel positioning data and environmental monitoring data

Realtime Bushfire Detection with Spatial-based Complex Event Processing
Bushfire is the primary destructive force that may cause damage to a large region, a country, or even the Earth. However, as bushfires spread too fast, they are often identified when they cannot control and cause significant damage.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Bioinspired event-driven collision avoidance algorithm based on optic flow
Any mobile agent, whether biological or robotic, needs to avoid collisions with obstacles. Insects, such as bees and flies, use optic flow to estimate the relative nearness to obstacles. Optic flow induced by ego-motion is composed of a translational and

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the
