A Van der Waals Optoelectronic Synapse with Tunable Positive and Negative Post‐Synaptic Current for Highly Accurate Spiking Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A van der Waals optoelectronic synaptic device based on a ReS2/WSe2 heterostructure and oxygen‐treated h‐BN is presented, which enables both positive and negative PSCs through photocarrier polarity reversal. Bidirectional plasticity arises from gate‐tunable band bending and charge trapping‐induced quasi‐doping.

Toward characterizing solutions to complex programming problems involving fuzzy parameters in constraints [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Industrial Engineering
The current study investigates to characterize the Complex Programming Problem (CPP) solution in a fuzzy environment. The paper is divided into two parts: 1) the first presents a Fuzzy Complex Programming Problem (F-CPP) with fuzzy complex constraints ...

The history of fuzzy logic methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Prediction and interpretation of behavior of complex medical or industrial systems are possible due to application of expert systems. This kind of expert systems emulates an ability to make decisions like a human expert.

Viscoelasticity‐Induced Controllable Periodic Meso‐Textures of Liquid Crystal Polymers in Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...

Incorporating complex bipolar fuzzy set with subrings and application in decision making

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
A complex bipolar fuzzy set ($ \mathbb{CBFS} $) is an extension of a complex fuzzy set and a $ \mathbb{BF} $ set with a wide range of values. A $ \mathbb{CBFS} $ is differentiated from a $ \mathbb{BF} $ set by the incorporation of negative and positive ...

Classification of Complex Fuzzy Numbers and Fuzzy Inner Products

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
The paper is concerned with complex fuzzy numbers and complex fuzzy inner product spaces. In the classical complex number set, a complex number can be expressed using the Cartesian form or polar form. Both expressions are needed because one expression is

Electron–Matter Interactions During Electron Beam Nanopatterning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article reviews the electron–matter interactions important to nanopatterning with electron beam lithography (EBL). Electron–matter interactions, including secondary electron generation routes, polymer radiolysis, and electron beam induced charging, are discussed.

Algebraic structure of some complex intuitionistic fuzzy subgroups and their homomorphism

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
The complex fuzzy environment is an innovative tool to deal with fuzzy situations in different mathematical problems. Aiming at the concept of complex intuitionistic fuzzy subgroups, this paper has introduced cut-subsets of complex intuitionistic fuzzy ...

An experimental methodology for a fuzzy set preference model [PDF]

open access: yes
A flexible fuzzy set preference model first requires approximate methodologies for implementation. Fuzzy sets must be defined for each individual consumer using computer software, requiring a minimum of time and expertise on the part of the consumer. The

Stoma‐Shell Nanoarchitecture for Enhanced Plasma Confinement Catalysis in Synthesis of Ethanol from CO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐energy electron impact in plasma catalysis often causes excessive dissociation of active intermediates, limiting C2+ product selectivity. To address this challenge, a bio‐inspired stoma‐shell nanoarchitecture is designed to decouple electron impact from catalytic reaction zones.
