Accessing the main-group metal formyl scaffold through CO-activation in beryllium hydride complexes
Stoichiometric carbon monoxide insertion processes leading to metal-formyl complexes are scarce, even for transition metals. Here, light is shed on the underexplored chemistry of beryllium hydrides leading to a stable example of a main group metal-formyl

Combined Effect of Halogenation and SiO2 Addition on the Li-Ion Conductivity of LiBH4
In this work, the combined effects of anion substitution (with Br− and I−) and SiO2 addition on the Li-ion conductivity in LiBH4 have been investigated. Hexagonal solid solutions with different compositions, h-Li(BH4)1−α(X)α (X = Br, I), were prepared by

Alkyl and hydride-olefin complexes of niobocene [PDF]
Reactions of Cp2NbCl2 with RMgCl (R = n-C3H7, i-C3H7, n-C4H9, s-C4H9 and n-C5H11) give niobocene hydride olefin complexes Cp2Nb(H)L (L = C3H6, C4H8 and C5H10). The last step of the reaction probably proceeds via a stereospecific β-H elimination from the monoalkyl species Cp2NbR.
