Complex hydrides for hydrogen storage – new perspectives [PDF]
Since the 1970s, hydrogen has been considered as a possible energy carrier for the storage of renewable energy. The main focus has been on addressing the ultimate challenge: eveloping an environmentally friendly successor for gasoline. This very ambitious goal has not yet been fully reached, as discussed in this review, but a range of new lightweight ...

Unstable Metal Hydrides for Possible On-Board Hydrogen Storage
Hydrogen storage in general is an indispensable prerequisite for the introduction of a hydrogen energy-based infrastructure. In this respect, high-pressure metal hydride (MH) tank systems appear to be one of the most promising hydrogen storage techniques

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

Engineering MnNiPx cathodes through the dual role of Mn simultaneously improves hydrogen evolution reaction activity and intermittent‐operation durability. Mn preferentially oxidizes to protect Ni–P sites from irreversible oxidation, while metallic Mn incorporation enhances the HER kinetics of Ni–P active layer.

A study of the preparation and characterization of selected complex aluminum hydrides [PDF]
Complex Aluminum Hydrides. - Complex aluminum hydrides are well known as reducing agents in all areas of chemistry; these species are of the general formula MA1H4 (M = Li, Na, K). There are also six coordinate complex aluminum hydrides of form M3A1H6 (M =
