$K_1$-groups via binary complexes of fixed length [PDF]
We modify Grayson's model of $K_1$ of an exact category to give a presentation whose generators are binary acyclic complexes of length at most $k$ for any given $k \ge 2$. As a corollary, we obtain another, very short proof of the identification of Nenashev's and Grayson's presentations.

Crossed Corner and Reduced Simplicial Commutative Algebras
In this paper, we describe the crossed corner of commutative algebras and present the relation between the category of crossed corners of commutative algebras and the category of reduced simplicial commutative algebras with Moore complex of length 2.

Parameterized Complexity of Length-bounded Cuts and Multicuts [PDF]
We show that the Minimal Length-Bounded L-But problem can be computed in linear time with respect to L and the tree-width of the input graph as parameters. In this problem the task is to find a set of edges of a graph such that after removal of this set, the shortest path between two prescribed vertices is at least L long.

Wall slip of complex fluids: interfacial friction or slip length? [PDF]
Using a dynamic Surface Force Apparatus, we demonstrate that the notion of slip length used to describe the boundary flow of simple liquids, is not appropriate for viscoelastic liquids.
