Transforming complex network to the acyclic one

open access: yes, 2012
Acyclic networks are a class of complex networks in which links are directed and don't have closed loops. Here we present an algorithm for transforming an ordinary undirected complex network into an acyclic one.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Strategic behavior of large language models and the role of game structure versus contextual framing

open access: yesScientific Reports
This paper investigates the strategic behavior of large language models (LLMs) across various game-theoretic settings, scrutinizing the interplay between game structure and contextual framing in decision-making.

Recency predicts bursts in the evolution of author citations

open access: yesQuantitative Science Studies, 2020
The citations process for scientific papers has been studied extensively. But while the citations accrued by authors are the sum of the citations of their papers, translating the dynamics of citation accumulation from the paper to the author level is not

Editorial: Bridging Scales and Levels [PDF]

open access: yesNetwork Neuroscience, 2018
Network neuroscience strives to understand the networks of the brain on all spatiotemporal scales and levels of observation. Current experimental and theoretical capabilities are beginning to facilitate a more holistic perspective, uniting these networks.

Enhancing complex-network synchronization

open access: yes, 2004
Heterogeneity in the degree (connectivity) distribution has been shown to suppress synchronization in networks of symmetrically coupled oscillators with uniform coupling strength (unweighted coupling).

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Asymptotic Stability of Caputo Type Fractional Neutral Dynamical Systems with Multiple Discrete Delays

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We discuss the delay-independent asymptotic stability of Caputo type fractional-order neutral differential systems with multiple discrete delays.

Analysis of telephone network traffic based on a complex user network

open access: yes, 2006
The traffic in telephone networks is analyzed in this paper. Unlike the classical traffic analysis where call blockings are due to the limited channel capacity, we consider here a more realistic cause for call blockings which is due to the way in which ...
