Critical fluctuations in spatial complex networks [PDF]
An anomalous mean-field solution is known to capture the non trivial phase diagram of the Ising model in annealed complex networks. Nevertheless the critical fluctuations in random complex networks remain mean-field.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Data modelling of converters for the automation and monitoring of MTDC grids
Multi-terminal DC (MTDC) grids based on voltage source converters (VSCs) are a promising option to integrate the increasing share of generation from the distributed energy resources (DERs) both in the transmission and distribution grids.

Embedding Functional Brain Networks in Low Dimensional Spaces Using Manifold Learning Techniques
Background: fMRI data is inherently high-dimensional and difficult to visualize. A recent trend has been to find spaces of lower dimensionality where functional brain networks can be projected onto manifolds as individual data points, leading to new ways

Characteristic exponents of complex networks
We present a novel way to characterize the structure of complex networks by studying the statistical properties of the trajectories of random walks over them.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Distance Between Players During a Soccer Match: The Influence of Player Position
In this study, we analyse the proximity between professional players during a soccer match. Specifically, we are concerned about the time a player remains at a distance to a rival that is closer than 2 m, which has a series of consequences, from the risk
