Permittivity measurement of thermoplastic composites at elevated temperature [PDF]
[Abstract]: The material properties of greatest importance in microwave processing of a dielectric are the complex relative permittivity Epsilon = Epsilon' - jEpsilon'', and the loss tangent, tan Delta = Epsilon'/Epsilon''.

Complex permittivity determination from propagation constant measurements [PDF]
The authors present a new transmission line method for measuring the complex permittivity of dielectric materials using propagation constant measurements. In contrast to previous methods, a network analyzer calibration is unnecessary since calibrated scattering parameters are not required.

Monitoring insulator contamination level under dry condition with a microwave reflectometer [PDF]
—Build-up of surface contamination on high voltage insulators can lead to an increase in leakage current and partial discharge, which may eventually develop into flashover. Conventional contamination level monitoring systems based on leakage current,

Complex Permittivity Measurement by Fano-resonance
Abstract This paper presents a novel, Fano-resonance based complex permittivity measuring sensor. The Fano-resonance is produced by two nested, open-ended coaxial resonators. The resonance characteristic is an extremely narrow, asymmetric resonance curve. Loading the resonator with any substance, the resonance frequency, and the quality factor of the
