On the theory of dielectric spectroscopy of protein solutions [PDF]
We present a theory of the dielectric response of a solution containing large solutes, of a nanometer size, in a molecular solvent. It combines the molecular dipole moment of the solute with the polarization of a large subensemble of solvent molecules at the solute-solvent interface.

Glass transition and alpha-relaxation dynamics of thin films of labeled polystyrene
The glass transition temperature and relaxation dynamics of the segmental motions of thin films of polystyrene labeled with a dye, 4-[N-ethyl-N-(hydroxyethyl)]amino-4-nitraozobenzene (Disperse Red 1, DR1) are investigated using dielectric measurements ...

Electromagnon in ferrimagnetic eps-Fe2O3 nanograin ceramics
Electromagnons are known from multiferroics as spin waves excited by the electric component of electromagnetic radiation. We report the discovery of an excitation in the far-infrared spectra of eps-Fe2O3 which we attribute to an electromagnon appearing ...

Correcting the polarization effect in low frequency Dielectric Spectroscopy
We demonstrate a simple and robust methodology for measuring and analyzing the polarization impedance appearing at interface between electrodes and ionic solutions, in the frequency range from 1 to $10^6$ Hz.

Dielectric Spectroscopy: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
The theory of orientational polarization and dielectric relaxation was developed by P. Debye more than 100 years ago. It approximates a molecule by a sphere having one or more dipole moments.
